BINI and their dancers taking a bow with hands joined on the Coachella stage, weekend 1

Two Fridays in April, one Mojave tent, and the first Filipino group ever on the Coachella lineup. Each weekend has its own page: the setlist, the looks, and the photo series.

Why it mattered

BINI became the first Filipino group to play Coachella — in their own billed slot on the main lineup, not a showcase. Rolling Stone

They brought home with them: a kulintang-inspired musical break, salakot-accented outfits, and greetings to the crowd in each member’s regional language. SunStar / Vogue Philippines

Back home, fans called it “BINICHELLA”. The Philippine Senate and House both passed resolutions honoring the performance. Wikipedia — Awards and nominations received by Bini

“We are so grateful to be here, to represent the Philippines.”
